Meet the team

Maryam Fatouraei, O.D.

Dr. Fatouraei (known as Dr. Fatour) received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from University of Houston, TX, and her doctorate degree from MCPHS College of Optometry in Worcester, MA. In addition to her clinical experience at private practices, she completed clinical rotations at the VA hospital and community health centers which prepared her for providing the best quality of optometric care with comprehensive eye exams with an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular pathologies.
Dr. Fatouraei has a passion for optometry because it gives her the opportunity to connect with different populations and age groups and establish long-term relationships. Dr. Fatouraei provides detailed comprehensive and medical eye exams. She is certified to treat glaucoma and manage myopia progression using MiSight and OrthoKeratology technology. Her areas of specific interest include a wide variety of anterior and posterior segment conditions including dry eye,

keratoconus, myopia management as well as various retinal pathologies such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma among others. She enjoys incorporating clinical research to provide the best and most up-to-date care for her patients. Dr. Fatouraei was involved in several research projects at UMASS Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

She is fluent in English, Farsi and Azeri/Turkish.

Rebecca

Rebecca is ready to check you in and out for your appointment. She'll make sure you've filled out all the proper forms and receive your health insurance information. Rebecca does a thorough job at checking to see if you're eligible for coverage (however, it's not always easy information to obtain and we can never guarantee that your insurance will cover your visit).

At check-out, Rebecca's ready to order your year supply of contact lenses (with free shipping!) at checkout and will give you information about manufacturer rebates. She's knowledgeable about all the eyecare supplies retailed at the office include eyelid cleansers, warm compresses, and eye supplements.​ She'll also ensure that have your next appointment scheduled before you leave.

Rebecca is fluent in English and Spanish. She is a "people-person" and will make you feel welcome right away. Rebecca enjoys her hibiscus tea with honey, her French bulldog, baking and she has some killer interior wall painting skills!

Jackie

Jackie will get you ready for your exam by performing your pretesting including auto-refraction, corneal topography and macular degeneration screening. She'll document the reason for your visit, review your health history and medications and record your visual acuity and measure your eye pressure. If you are required to have additional specialized testing, Jackie will perform your visual field testing, ocular coherence tomography (OCT) and retinal photography (no need to smile for this one!).

And that's not all! Jackie is a patient and experienced teacher for our patients who need instruction on contact lens insertion, removal and handling.

Jackie adores her Jeep and loves all things red, white and blue.

Jen

Jen takes care of all things optical! She curates all the lovely, stylish frames that we carry emphasizing designs from many independent eyewear companies. There's a lot to consider in choosing your next pair of eyeglasses so no need to do it yourself.

Jen will guide you in selecting the proper frame so that it fits you comfortably. She'll clearly explain your choices in lens design, materials and features that are available to you. Finally, she'll take the precise measurements that are needed to make your glasses accurately. We've got the expertise to make this process easy for you. What makes us happy is that you love your eyeglasses.

Jen loves eyeglasses, pens, cats and most recently, rose-gold accents.
